CALL TO ALL ARTISTS

The Rotary 2012 Dream Home Lottery will be in need of our best work to help showcase this year’s home.

NEW!  The Dream Home is opening in mid-April so there is an extension to the drop off dates listed below.  We are also thrilled to be hosting an Art Appreciation Wine & Cheese at the Dream Home on May 16th from 7:30 – 9:30pm for artists and art lovers!

This is a great opportunity to showcase your artwork.  Please pass this on to any other artists you may know.

ELEMENTS TO CONSIDER:

• The 2012 Dream Home is being decorated as a beach house meets castle theme
• Will be decorated in colours of sand, ocean blue, and black with ornate furnishings and heavy black accents
• Three submissions per artist
• Drop off will be at the Dream Home Office #112 8716 – 108 Street, Grande Prairie AB, T8V 4C7. (Tom Shields Realty)February 27 to March 30, between 8:30 – 12:00 and 1:00 – 4:30.  This may be updated as we get closer to the date.
• Please have your works wrapped well, as they will have to be transported to the     Dream Home from the office
• If your work is not selected you will be called to pick-up.  Pick-up arrangements will be made at that time.
• In order for the artwork to be shown, the artist MUST be a member of Art of the Peace.  Membership applications can be made online at www.artofthepeace.ca
• This is a fundraiser for Art Of The Peace, so any works sold will have a 25% commission taken.

Some suggestions for the artwork has been given as:

• Beach or ocean theme
• Florals
• Abstracts
• Architectural details
• Anything with an open, airy feeling
• Soft colours with a black or dark contrast

The Dream Home will be open until the end of June. If your work is chosen, we will be contacting you with pick-up information at a later date.
